Badlands / White River KOA lies just 4 miles from Badlands National Park, where tabletop buttes and craggy bluffs rise from the nation's largest protected mixed-grass prairie. Here, guests relax in the shade from hundreds of mature trees beside the peaceful White River . You won't hear trains, planes or even many automobiles, but you will enjoy amenities like a large swimming pool, mini golf, and a playground. Wildlife sightings are common as Bald Eagles, Prairie Dogs, Turkeys, and Beaver make their homes in and around the campground. Campers can take a short drive through beautiful scenery to the famous Wall Drug for a 5 cent cup of coffee, or enjoy the many trails and overlooks in Badlands National Park. Leave the work to us: Hot Breakfasts and Indian Taco dinners are served daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

No trains, no planes! Getting to the Belvidere East KOA is easy off, easy on, just 1/2 mile north off I-90, Exit 170. All the RV sites are long pull throughs with free cable TV and Wi-Fi. Don't feel like cooking? During the summer months enjoy dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. There's a fenced-in area where your dogs can run loose and exercise. While en route to Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park or Devils Tower, this campground is the best stop for exploring a re-created 1880s town before visiting the Badlands and the famous Wall Drug Store. You'll see plenty of wildlife. Birders can look for their favorite feathered friends, along with deer, coyotes and more. The large heated pool, playground, bike rentals and game room keep the kids happy.

You should see the Hills from here! Custer/Mt. Rushmore KOA is your central location for seeing all of the Black Hills. We are in the center of all five major Black Hills attractions: Mount Rushmore National Monument, Crazy Horse Memorial, Jewel Cave National Monument, Wind Cave National Park, and Custer State Park, all within 6 to 22 miles of the campground. We can arrange car rentals or tours with a local tour company that picks you up at your site. Downtown Custer has great restaurants and free live entertainment twice a week on summer evenings. You might even spot General Custer strolling around! After a day of sightseeing, unwind at our tranquil campground among the ponderosa pines, just 3 miles west of Custer. The kids will love our jumping pillow, game room and playground. Seasonal activities (Memorial Day to Labor Day) include full chuckwagon breakfasts, ice cream socials, kids' crafts and games, and a heated pool, weather permitting. We offer 1 and 2-room kamping kabins, 30 and 50-amp pull-thru and back-in sites, and several types of tent sites, from primitive to deluxe. Free Wi-Fi, clean restrooms, an on-site store, laundry, dump station, firewood, picnic tables, and propane are available. Rates are higher June 29-July 7 and August 3-12 (Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Custer Cruisin' dates).

A camping unit is a vehicle, motor home, camper, tent or any other device used for sleeping. Additional tents, or sleeping quarters will be charged an additional site fee, regardless if they share the same site space.

Cancellation Policy During Sturgis/Custer Cruisin' Rallies (August 3-August 12, 2012): Cancellations made after June 30, 2012 will result in forfeiture of the entire first night's deposit. Guests choosing to leave early after checking in will not receive a refund on unused nights.

Kennebec KOA is a great place to stay on your way to and from the Black Hills, Sturgis or Yellowstone. Kids can burn off energy in the large pool, separate wading pool or the playground while adults relax in the hot tub. Mid-June through mid-August your hosts cook you breakfast and supper at the Chuckwagon. All RV sites are pull thrus. Several sites can accommodate today’s longer RVs, offering 50-amp service, free cable TV and Wi-Fi. Many tent and RV sites have shade trees, and our Camping Cabins are air-conditioned and heated. Central South Dakota is a paradise for sportsmen. The Kennebec KOA is a great base for hunters, anglers and boaters, with easy access to the Missouri River, national grasslands and local lakes. Birders love the variety of species found in the area. Visit historic Pierre, explore the Lewis & Clark Trail, Sioux Nation cultural sites or try your luck at the Golden Buffalo and LodeStar Casinos. Located in a small town setting, Kennebec KOA offers a quiet respite before continuing on your trip.

No one can visit Mitchell without seeing the world's only Corn Palace. Established in 1892 and at its present location since 1921, the structure is stripped each year and decorated anew with murals formed by thousands of bushels of corn, grasses, grains and other products celebrating South Dakota's bounty. The Corn Palace is mentioned in the book, 1,000 Places to See in the USA and Canada Before You Die. Other nearby attractions include Cabela's and a prehistoric Indian village. At the Dakota Discovery Museum, see historic American Indian beadwork and quillwork. Tee off at the Wild Oak Golf Club, only a mile away. Then return to your comfortable campground with tent sites, Kamping Kabins and RV sites up to 70 feet long. A pool, mini golf and bike rentals keep kids happy. After a stay here, you'll be rested and ready for the road.

We are open year round, with limited facilities from November 16 - March 31. There are restaurants, gas, casinos, museums, historical centers, theaters, and shopping nearby. Anglers and water sports enthusiasts can enjoy themselves at the nearby Missouri and Big Sioux rivers. Swim in the heated pool or relax under the open-air pavilion. Those looking for some friendly competition can engage in a round of on-site mini golf, tetherball, horseshoes or basketball, and the little ones can play at the playground. Take a stroll along the paved walking trail or ride one of the rental bikes. Activities abound through the summer and fall. Enjoy the campground's great people, great camping and great fun!

At the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History, kids giggle at critters from A (Alaskan brown bear) to Z (zebu, a type of Asian cattle). Lewis and Clark held council with the Yankton Sioux near this brand-new KOA next to the Missouri River. The kampground is located in Yankton, just downstream from Lewis and Clark Lake and Lewis and Clark Recreation Area (6 miles west). You'll find opportunities for boating, sailing, Jet Skiing, and kayaking as well as swimming and sunbathing on miles of beaches. This KOA, with RV and tent sites and Cabins and Lodges, is next door to the National Field Archery Association Headquarters & Museum and the Easton Center for Archery Excellence. At this training facility, you can hone your skills at indoor, outdoor, 3-D and Olympic archery. (Equipment available for rent). At this KOA, enjoy a game of horseshoes. Play basketball or sand volleyball with the kids or join them at the playground and on the Jumping Pillow. Fido will enjoy the dog park. Cool off at the pool or relax at your campsite. Yankton has some of the best pheasant, waterfowl, deer and turkey hunting (and fishing) in the area.
