The Elkhart County KOA is a comfortable retreat from day-to-day pressures, centrally located near the home of the RV Industry and one of the nation's largest Amish communities. Enjoy the simple and quiet life of the Amish here in northern Indiana, visiting the local towns of Shipshewana and Middlebury where the clop-clop of the horse's hooves will bring back a feel of simple living. Experience the Shipshewana Flea Market, home of nearly 900 vendors and held on Tuesday and Wednesday every week from May through October. Our KOA offers shuttle service to the Flea Market for a small fee (5/15-9/15), so take advantage of this convenience and save your fuel and energy for the Flea Market itself. We also offer a shopping tour which runs on Thursdays (5/15- 9/15 ), taking you to all the back roads Amish shops, through Amish Farm country, and includes narration for you to learn more about the Amish lifestyle. You can also enjoy a self-guided CD tour of the Amish Heritage Trail provided by the local county visitor's center, along with a map of the area this is a great way for you to leisurely enjoy the area at your own pace.

Elkhart County is also the "RV Capitol of the World" and you can enjoy the area by stopping at your favorite manufacturer for a tour of their plant. In addition, the RV/MH Hall of Fame is located about 11 miles from us (we offer shuttle service to the RV Hall of Fame pending availability of the shuttle van). We have many guests stay with us while they are having warranty work done on their RVs, turning a chore into a vacation!

Huge "Splash" parks, casinos and an extraordinary zoo can be found here in our surrounding areas. The South Bend / Elkhart North KOA is only a couple of hours away from Chicago, if the “big city bug” bites you. There is also a train between South Bend Airport and downtown Chicago. You'll enjoy the beauty of Northern Indiana, with many fishing places nearby. Stop to see the St. Joseph River and take a stroll along the riverwalk in Mishawaka or the one in Elkhart. Our campground has plenty of full hookup-pull through RV sites available, all leveled and with cable TV access. Our RV sites are spacious and long enough to fit your RV - whether you have a "Big Rig" or a small travel trailer - and most sites are shaded. All sites come with picnic tables and fire rings, and we offer free WiFi service thru out the entire park. Our KOA features an all natural, fully fenced-in and spacious dog "Fun Run", so bring the pets!

If you don’t travel by RV, we offer spacious deluxe cabins and cozy, comfortable and rustic 1 or 2 room cabins. Tenters will find rustic sites or more luxury spots in our partially roofed Tent Village with water, electric and even cable TV access. Our on-site Krossroads' Cafe fills the air with home-cooked aromas of Bacon & Eggs in the morning and Steak, Burgers & Pizza in the evening. Terre Haute offers year-round entertainment possibilities from the Boot City Opry, the Terre Haute Symphony, to the Hulman Center Concerts and Sporting events and Community Arts.
