Take a scenic drive on a highway that follows old Cherokee footpaths, visit beautiful Clemson University just 15 miles away, and stop in to see the South Carolina Botanical Garden. Try your best at one of several challenging golf courses or go for a hole in one at the KOA's mini golf course. Maybe you'll find long-lost relatives through your genealogy searches in nearby libraries or history museums.But perhaps,you are just traveling through and don't have time to check out the area this visit., We are just,1 mile off,I-85 and are,perfect for,your stop over when you have to go,through Atlanta (approximately 1 and 1/2 hour away)., Get a good sleep and prepare to face Atlanta or,relax after hitting it!,

Due to construction at the front end of the campground we are now offering a Spring Special of $35 PER WEEKNIGHT AND $38 PLUS TAX PER WEEKEND NIGHT FOR ANY SITE until further notice.  (Does not include cabins, lodges, holiday and special event weekends)  Please be aware that currently the playground and mini-golf are not available at this time, however the jumping pillow is still up and running.

Our campground is located in the beautiful upstate region surrounded by farms and green rolling hills. The area is offers history, arts, crafts, food, nature, and family fun.

Visit Cowpens National Battlefield, site of the pivotal battle of the American Revolution, as well as King's Mountain Military Park. If you like to eat (now there's a statement), there are many vendors for peaches, jellies, jams, ciders, and other goodies. (Spartanburg County had over 3 million peach trees and today is the second largest peach-producing area. A quarter of all the peaches in the United States are produced here.)

About an hour from this KOA you can visit the famous Asheville Farmers Market and The Biltmore. The quaint town of Saluda is about 35 minutes away. In about ten minutes you can be walking the lovely main street of Cowpens eating ice cream and buying inexpensive antiques and collectibles - or just hang out at the campground. We offer a pool, wi-fi, game room, mini-golf, trails, and importantly, peace and quiet.

The Spartanburg NE/Gaffney KOA campground has easy on-off access to I-85, and we're on the direct route from Atlanta, GA to Charlotte, NC. Our long pull-thru sites with 50-amp availability make us truly "Big-Rig" friendly.
