Welcome to Halifax West KOA. Our sites range from 50 amp pull-thru sites for the "Big Rigs" to the no service sites for the camper that likes to tent and everything in between. Some of our back in sites are situated along the beautiful Sackville River, some sites are treed and quite private, while some are in more open spaces, there is really something for everybody. Our rural location promises you will be listening to the birds and the frogs and on clear evenings you get great views of the stars above. All sites come complete with a picnic table and firepit. During our "in season" we make breakfast everyday so you don't have to. Kids will have a great time playing in the brand new playground, enjoy crafts and movie nights, the banana bikes for rent are always a hit or go for a canoe ride on the river. The kids and quite possibly some adults will love jumping on the brand new jumping pillow. We are close to miles of walking trails and we are conveniently located a 25 minute drive to Halifax Harbour, your shopping, dining and entertainment area. There are lots of attractions to check out while staying with us. Spend a day at beautiful Peggys's Cove or take a tour around the harbour or visit Alexander Keith's Brewery or perhaps go check out the Citadel. There are just so many possibilities.Téléchargez un document .pdf contenant les informations de base sur ce terrain de camping. en français.

Set out on one of North America's most memorable scenic drives just minutes from this KOA. The 185-mile-long Cabot Trail traces the northern perimeter of Cape Breton Island, hugging the shore along headlands, beaches, coves and picturesque fishing villages. Watch for whales from one of many dramatic vista points. Enjoy local seafood and other fare along the way, including indigenous cuisine at the Acadian Museum in Cheticamp. Circle back to this campground in a prime location, with terraced campsites overlooking the Bras d'Or inland sea. Diversions include a swimming beach, a rec hall, a wonderful K-9 park, a speckled trout pond, a boat launch, and mini golf. Several golf courses are nearby; the ferry to Newfoundland is only 15 minutes away.
